Aon Corporation has replaced founding CEO Patrick Ryan with Gregory Case in the roles of President and CEO after the insurer agreed to pay $190 million to settle its bid-rigging probes in three states.

Mr Case was most recently head of the financial services practice at McKinsey and Company. Mr Ryan, who has been Aon CEO since 1982, will become Executive Chairman.
