Aon adds digital cyber to SME offer

Aon has introduced a new digital insurance offering for SME businesses.

Designed for businesses with up to $US100 million ($134.61 million) in annual revenue across retail, technology, professional services, manufacturing and other sectors, the new offer builds on insurance products recently introduced by Aon to middle market businesses.

"Cyber risks pose a growing threat to small and middle market businesses, which may have limited technology and security resources," Aon North America CEO Cyber Solutions Christian Hoffman said.

"With our online platform, we are making cyber insurance coverage incredibly accessible.”

Aon says its platform protects SMEs against the costs involved in data breaches, ransomware, contractual liability, media liability, business interruption, social engineering and more.

Aon says it is leveraging CoverWallet, the insurtech startup it acquired in January, to further expand the solutions and services it provides to 30 million SME businesses in the US.
