A takeover bid in Britain is threatening a major AMP funds management unit’s business. Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society has made a bid for Royal National Pension Fund for Nurses. London-based AMP Henderson Global Investors manages the $1.2 billion nurses’ pension fund, which the Australian Financial Review said generates about $24 million in annual fees.
