Allianz on track for record year
German global insurer Allianz says a buoyant first half has set the company up for a record full-year profit.
Allianz says it is on track to post a net profit of €8 billion ($12.91 billion) for 2007 after a second-quarter net profit of €2.14 billion ($3.45 billion).
Operating profit in the second quarter rose 17.7% to €3.3 billion ($5.33 billion).
