AIR sets up global resilience practice

Catastrophe modeller AIR Worldwide has formed a global resilience practice to support risk reduction.

It aims to develop solutions that help society better prepare for catastrophes and assist organisations in applying catastrophe modelling to disaster risk financing.

Former White House adviser Daniel Kaniewski has joined AIR Worldwide to lead the new practice.

“As the leader in providing risk modelling services and software, AIR’s capabilities can be harnessed to inform public disaster financing, risk pooling and other risk mitigation activities,” EVP Rob Newbold said.
