Ace appoints Greenberg as Chairman
Ace Insurance CEO Evan G Greenberg has been elected Chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Mr Greenberg – son of the legendary Maurice and brother of former Marsh & McLennan CEO Jeffrey, will take up the new position in two months, succeeding Brian Duperreault.
Mr Duperreault says Mr Greenberg proved his leadership through the performance of the company in a period marked by natural catastrophes and widespread industry investigations. He joined Ace in 2000 after leaving AIG, ostensibly after an argument with his father.
