… as Schiro enters his last year at Zurich

While Zurich Global CEO James Schiro sees some upsides in the group’s market position, he’s also intending to quit the group at the end of the year.

Mr Schiro, who is credited with turning the group around from a period of falling share prices and ratings downgrades, has been at the helm since 2002.

Improved profitability during his reign has been attributed to a more customer-centric approach to doing business and developing a uniform underwriting structure.
