Swiss Re partners tech company to offer clients smart health coach services
Swiss Re says it has entered into a partnership with dacadoo, a Zurich-based health and technology business.
The partnership will allow Swiss Re clients to access the start-up’s MyWellLife platform, a mobile smart health coach that helps users achieve their health goals.
Swiss Re says increased usage of health apps such as the one offered by dacadoo offers an opportunity for insurers to play a more important role in engaging consumers to lead healthier lifestyles.
The collaboration will enable Swiss Re to accelerate the next generation of risk assessment by leveraging its Personal Resilience Suite – a holistic, modular and innovative risk assessment approach that considers traditional and novel clinical risk factors, as well as lifestyle factors, to assess and price risk.
“Lifestyle factors are gaining in importance because they help to give a more holistic view for risk assessment purposes,” Swiss Re Global Head of Life & Health Underwriting Jolee Crosby said.
“With MyWellLife we offer consumers a roadmap for their health and wellness journey.
“Insurers can get to market quickly through an engaging platform that leverages the experience and expertise of our partnership, and which requires no technology investment on their side.
“We are happy to offer our clients a platform that opens up possibilities for dynamic risk assessment of modifiable risk factors.”
