Simfuni wins ANZIIF accolade

Simfuni has been named Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance insurtech start-up of the year.

The Auckland group’s premium payments platform launched a year ago after it raised $NZ2.8 million ($2.6 million). It is designed to save brokers in Australia and New Zealand administrative time and cost, and can integrate with any insurer, broker group or premium funder’s quoting and invoicing software.

CEO Shaun Quincey, CTO Damon O'Neill and brand director Carl Lough were all at the ANZIIF Australian Insurance Industry Awards night last week.

“A huge thank you to our dedicated team, supportive investors and incredible clients who helped make this possible,” Simfuni said. “It’s inspiring to see the insurance industry acknowledging the significant impact insurtechs are having on both business and customer experience. Shout out to the Insurtech Australia team for the valuable work they’re doing.”

The other finalists in the insurtech category were Clover Insurance Australia, Curium, FreightInsure and SyncTechnologies.

Simfuni won the New Zealand ANZIIF award last year and also won at the FintechNZ awards in March.
