Property imaging specialist names new strategy chief
Arturo has appointed Jeffrey Taylor as Chief Strategy Officer, as it prepares to expand into new markets.
The US-based insurtech provides data observations and predictions for properties using satellite, aerial and drone imagery.
It received investment from IAG’s Firemark Ventures in 2020 as part of an $US8 million ($13 million) fundraising, and Suncorp has worked with it to crunch images of 9 million Australian homes and slash the number of questions put to property policyholders.
Mr Taylor, who has spent decades at Verisk, once managed large custom home projects and worked as a roofer.
Arturo CEO Marty Smuin says this hands-on experience brings a unique perspective to the company’s remote analysis of properties after natural disasters.
“Jeff has a tremendous track record and has led many transformational movements within insurtech,” Mr Smuin said. “We are thrilled to have him join our team and help lead Arturo into the future.”
