Marsh finds new UK cyber leader in Melbourne
Melbourne-based Kelly Butler has been promoted to the role of Marsh UK Cyber Leader, effective in October.
Ms Butler is currently Chief Client Officer & Cyber Practice Leader, Pacific. She joined Marsh in 2016 from Willis Towers Watson, and has held a variety of senior cyber insurance roles, overseeing Marsh’s regional cyber client placement and advising its largest clients.
Her new role is based in London and reports to Marsh CEO UK Financial & Professional Lines Beth Thurston, who says cyber risks are an “ever-present danger” to Marsh clients. She says Ms Butler is an "outstanding leader” who has spearheaded market-leading initiatives in the Pacific.
"Kelly will play a pivotal role in creating the next-generation cyber solutions that Marsh’s clients need to mitigate rapidly evolving cyber threats, while maximising the opportunities associated with new and emerging technologies,” Ms Thurston said.
Ms Butler will be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Marsh UK cyber insurance and placement capabilities, and will also work closely with Marsh McLennan’s cyber risk experts to develop services to support clients.
