Local insurtechs make global rankings
Melbourne’s Kanopi and Sydney-founded Cover Genius have been listed among the world’s top 30 marketing, sales and distribution insurtechs.
The World’s Top 150 Insurtech Companies report, compiled by broadcaster CNBC and Statista, also lists Paris-based Descartes Underwriting and Utrecht-based FRISS among the top 30 insurtechs in the underwriting and risk analysis category.
Parametric insurance specialist Descartes entered the Australian market in 2021, while anti-fraud group FRISS counts Allianz, Aon and Mapfre among its customers.
The policy administration and admin tech category features Tel Aviv’s EasySend, Montreal’s Equisoft and San Francisco-based Socotra, which has offices in Sydney and London and a client list including IAG, Axa and Nationwide.
EasySend set up an Australian subsidiary managed by Mick O’Brien last year to bring paperless processing to organisations, while Equisoft has experts based in Australia.
