IA event to bust insurtech investment myths

Insurtech Australia (IA) will host an event in Sydney on November 9 to dispel common investor myths about insurtech investment obstacles.

A panel will feature Curium CEO and Co-Founder Tetiana George, Investible Investment Principal Jayden Basha, Rainmaking APAC Head of Ecosystems Claire Bull, Trendspek CEO Derek Feebrey and HumanableCX Co-Founder Francoise Gelbard.

They say insurtech – encompassing proptech, regtech, medtech and more – represents a massive $7 trillion opportunity but faces challenges in attracting external capital in Australia. The opportunity is larger than the mobility market which receives five times more funding.

“The Insurance industry is at the forefront of climate change and technology advancements by providing immediate financial relief to customers and finding ways of mitigating new risk efficiently,” organisers say. "Most of the innovation is driven by insurtechs.”

The event will be held at Stone & Chalk Tech Central at 477 Pitt Street. Register here
