Helia wins Appian Innovation Award
Helia Group is one of six global winners of the 2023 Appian Innovation Award, it was announced in San Diego.
Westpac, the US Air Force, Merck Manufacturing Division, JLR and Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) are the other five 2023 winners.
The Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance (LMI) provider, formerly known as Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia, was recognised for transforming its business operations, culture, and employee experience through the Appian Platform, and its ability to conduct quick builds to enable experimentation.
This involved building a new underwriting platform, operational quality assurance tool, claims management platform and billing solution on Appian, automating the end-to-end LMI policy lifecycle.
“The award represents the culmination of an extensive period of work by our Technology and Operations team to leverage the platform as we deliver our core LMI operations more effectively for lender customers,” Helia COO Jeremy Francis said.
Appian Area VP Asia Pacific Luke Thomas says Helia’s commitment to upskilling its teams and creating a growth mindset culture is impressive.
“We are thrilled to see the success Helia has achieved with Appian in such a short time,” he said.
The judging panel included Appian Chief Customer Officer Pavel Zamudio, IDC VP AI Automation & Analytics Europe Neil Ward-Dutton and Ernst and Young Principal George Kaczmarskyj.
