HDI invests in satellite startup LiveEO
HDI Group’s venture capital firm has participated in a €19 million ($27.93 million) funding round for new Berlin-based space start-up LiveEO, which provides satellite-based monitoring of facilities and critical infrastructures.
Satellite data from various providers is used to define risks associated with vegetation, ground deformation or third parties.
Artificial intelligence-led predictions are made about changes affecting buildings, streets, rail networks, forests, factories, energy producers and other infrastructure, enabling timely maintenance.
“This enables potential damaging events to be detected and prevented at an early stage, making companies more resilient to climate change, for example," Hannover Digital Investments MD Ulrich Wallin said.
