HDI Global offers Leak360 sensors to customers globally
Customers of HDI Global worldwide are being offered Leak360, a sensor solution from HDI TH!NX that detects and stops leaks at an early stage.
HDI TH!NX, part of the HDI Group that develops tech-based business models and risk management solutions, has designed Leak360 to automatically identify leaks quickly and prevent damage to the building fabric.
Water, moisture and frost sensors are attached to exposed areas, and water meters are continuously read to detect potential damage.
The sensors automatically identify abnormal consumption patterns and damp areas and alert nominated individuals, notifying of early damage before it can spread.
Director Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner says HDI Global rewards the use of Leak360 as part of the insurance solution by lowering deductibles.
"With the aid of innovative solutions, we help to reduce avoidable losses for customers worldwide,” she said. "Preventing and mitigating damage is very important.”
Building damage from water leaks is high cost and can be caused by a damaged pipe or water running through a broken flush system. Public and commercial buildings are particularly at risk, and temporary vacancies or aging buildings can require round-the-clock protection.
The sensor transmits data and signals to the service centre and settings for receipt of notifications can be adjusted individually using a PC or smartphone.
Leak360 is suitable for all structure sizes and use cases, HDI says, minimising risk in both existing building stock and new structures.
"Early discovery of water damage or a leak means less damage to the building fabric, thereby reducing any cost-intensive business interruption necessitated by extensive remediation work,’ HDI TH!NX MD Verena Brenner said.
HDI TH!NX will attend a leakage summit in Berlin in September and present on the advantages of Leak360, including its integrated visualisation, analysis and reporting features.
