Guy Carpenter launches insurtech Centre of Excellence

Guy Carpenter has launched an insurtech Centre of Excellence (COE) offering customised broking, advisory and analytical services for insurers and Managing General Agents (MGAs) on cutting-edge technology platforms.

CEO North America John Trace says it positions Guy Carpenter at the forefront of the development of a tech-empowered insurance market.

“By bringing together an extensive team of sector experts exclusively dedicated to this rapidly evolving environment, our aim is to provide the most relevant services and solutions, coupled with market insight and intelligence to support industry innovation,” he said.

Guy Carpenter maintains a large portfolio of insurtech clients totaling nearly $US3 billion ($4.02 billion) in direct written premium and says the COE will facilitate delivery of specialised capabilities for these clients and prospects, including market-entry analysis, portfolio construction, actuarial support, rating advisory and capital modeling.

From January, financial technology analyst firm Celent will also provide market-leading intelligence on insurance technology to Guy Carpenter clients.
