EXL to train 1500 generative AI experts, launches new platform

EXL has launched a generative Artificial Intelligence platform itsays will help businesses scale enterprise-wide AI initiatives to improve productivity, unlock new insights, deliver growth and create personalised customer experiences.

EXL has more than 8000 data scientists working across all aspects of AI, cloud development and data integration. It now plans to train over 1500 of them to become dedicated generative AI experts who will work with clients.

“Businesses across industries recognise the immense opportunities created by generative AI and eagerly seek insights into its potential benefits for their businesses,” CEO and vice chairman Rohit Kapoor said.

“We possess a unique advantage in creating custom AI solutions using proprietary and data sets that create superior AI value.”

The platform combines foundational generative AI models with EXL’s expertise in data engineering, AI solutions and proprietary data sets.

It streamlines the collation and creation of domain and use-case-specific generative AI solutions. EXL also offers Smart Data Signals, an insurance claims monitoring solution already trained on generative AI and ready for instant implementation.

Smart Data Signals can monitor and assess claims and customer interactions in near real-time throughout the claim lifecycle and identifies signals for teams to proactively action claim files and make better decisions.

“With AI and machine learning continuously monitoring key events, EXL’s solution extracts data points from unstructured data such as claim notes, emails, documents, and calls to identify friction points or gaps in claim handling. It then combines these data points with natural language processing predictive models,” it said.
