Enviro Trees recognised for sustainability

Insurtech Australia member Enviro Trees has been hailed for its significant contribution to sustainability in the insurance industry.

It has been named in InsurLab Germany’s Global Insurtech Spotlight, alongside Pelt8, Equipsme, BirdsEyeView, SkenData, SeismicAI, EarthPulse and MynDoor.

“Insurtech hubs from around the globe have nominated start- and scale-ups that are making significant contributions towards sustainability in the insurance sector. These are part of a movement towards a more sustainable approach in insurance,” InsurLab Germany said.

Enviro Trees was founded in 2010 by Peter and Kylie Dubiez as a small residential tree lopping service in Sydney. It now manages tree-related work across insurance, commercial and emergency services in Australia and the UK.

“The business rapidly expanded into the insurance sector ... As we expanded, we were surprised by the shortfall in service and level of reporting offered by the industry,” Mr Dubiez said.

“From success in delivering to our Australian global insurance clients, Enviro Trees UK was invited in December 2022 to establish our model and technology in the UK.”

The network now has more than 250 tree partners across Australia and 80 in the UK, accessible through proprietary software Tree Manager. The insurtech is a former Optus My Business Awards winner for most innovative use of technology.

“We are proud to receive awards that recognise our innovation and commitment to building a robust, easy-to-use workflow application and multi-level communication portal for the insurance, facilities maintenance and emergency services sectors,” Enviro Trees said.
