Cyber underwriting agency Emergence Insurance has appointed Colin Pausey as Chief Operating Officer.

Formerly COO at Coverforce, Mr Pausey has been an external legal adviser to Emergence since its 2014 launch and worked with the agency on its award-winning Cyber Event Protection Policy. He previously managed underwriting agencies for almost a decade and established the cyber insurance practice at Sparke Helmore Lawyers.

“Colin has made an integral contribution to the Emergence journey since the start, providing expertise and advice,” Emergence founder and CEO Troy Filipcevic said.

"As we continue to build a team with deep expertise on cyber risk, Colin’s skillset and legal experience in dealing with cyber incidents enhances our offering to brokers and their clients.”

Sydney-based Mr Pausey has more than four decades of legal and commercial experience and was previously Partner at Vardanega Robert Solicitors.
