Cover Genius has added Montreal-based travel agency FlightHub to its XCover embedded insurance platform.

FlightHub customers in Canada and the US can now add “cancel for any reason” (CFAR) insurance to their booking at checkout.

“By providing our merchant partners with innovative travel offerings like CFAR, they can better meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers who desire a quick resolution when something goes wrong,” Cover Genius chief business officer Americas Kyle Keogh said. 

Policyholders can cancel trips for any reason up to 48 hours before departure and receive up to 100% of the booking cost back, without proof such as a doctor’s note or evidence of transport interruption.

VP of partnerships Christina Allen says the Cover Genius offer costs 40% less than rival products.

“With our new CFAR offering, travellers can book vacations with even more confidence, knowing that their travel investment is safeguarded,” she said.

Through XCover, FlightHub customers can quickly submit claims and refunds are paid out in more than 90 currencies.

Cover Genius, founded in 2014 in Sydney, is now licensed in more than 60 countries. XCover is available via Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, Descartes, ShipRush and other global retailers.
