Cover Genius partners with Mexican airline Volaris
Cover Genius has added Mexican airline Volaris to the growing list of firms deploying its XCover embedded insurance platform.
The ultra-low-cost airline now offers the embedded protection to travellers in Mexico, the US, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia and Peru, offering medical and flight cancellation insurance and baggage protection and more as customers make a reservation.
“Our partnership with Volaris offers global consumers convenient protection, more agile global claims handling and instant payments for peace of mind when booking that long-awaited trip,” Senior VP of Strategic Partnerships for Latin America Julio Castellon said.
“As more consumers expect a digital-first experience and more offerings from the brands they trust, it is critical for digital companies to step up and provide a comprehensive offering throughout their journey.”
Co-founded in 2014 by Angus McDonald and CIO Chris Bayley in Sydney, Cover Genius is now licensed in more than 60 countries. XCover is available at Amazon, eBay, Wayfair, Descartes, ShipRush and other global retailers.
Its XCover Go app for small-to-medium-sized businesses was launched in June.
