Cover Genius deal gives Secutix clients automated refunds
Events ticketing firm Secutix has agreed a refund partnership with Cover Genius.
Secutix’s venue and event business customers worldwide can now access an automated refund process. The service was piloted last year with client Silverstone at the British Grand Prix.
Secutix customers include sports clubs, stadiums and arenas, museums, live entertainment organisations, leisure parks and festivals. Among its clients are UEFA, Opéra National de Paris, Centre Pompidou, Paléo Festival and Musée Picasso Paris.
Cover Genius says clients who purchase ticket protection will benefit from a clear refund policy, covering them if they unexpectedly can’t attend an event due to illness, injury or other circumstances.
The insurtech’s technology equips event organisers with the tools to handle refunds smoothly, Cover Genius chief business officer Kyle Keogh says.
“Live events are booming and across the ticketing industry we’re seeing demand for protection options that provide customers with the flexibility to purchase tickets early, knowing their investment is safe if they’re unexpectedly unable to attend,” he said.
Potential future enhancements such as Cancel for Any Reason are also in the pipeline.
“Cover Genius is the ideal partner due to its global compliance, which removes regulatory complexities for our clients, and its commitment to continuous innovation, allowing us to add new features to the platform,” Secutix Senior VP of Technology Marc Mazzariol said.
Sydney-founded Cover Genius has more than 41 million customers across more than 60 countries.
