Ando extends Qlik software to all operations
New Zealand underwriting agency Ando Insurance says it is improving customer response times and decision-making using Qlik Cloud data analytics.
The software has been expanded across Ando’s team of 300 staff in all departments: operations, claims, portfolio management and underwriting.
Ando adopted Qlik after growing by 30% a year, and now plans to amalgamate data for more than 100,000 policyholders.
It says time taken to respond to insurance claims has been cut by 75 hours a month, and rapid access to accurate information and automation has aided decision-making.
It adds that reducing the administrative burden has lifted the number of claims processed each month.
“The capabilities provided by Qlik significantly enhance our position in the market,” head of data and business intelligence Josh Reid said. “We utilise these tools across various operational areas like underwriting and pricing.”
In disaster response management, automation and real-time updates help Ando quickly deploy on-the-ground responses – critical during last year’s North Island floods and cyclone.
Qlik offers geospatial analytics to identify affected areas. It converts complex data and its analytics uncover “hidden patterns”.
