AI Con promises ‘deep dive’ into innovation

Industry conference AI Con will be held in Sydney on Thursday, offering data and artificial intelligence practitioners guidance to “harness innovation for the future”.

The annual event, sponsored by the Actuaries Institute, attracts more than 500 professionals.

DataCo Technologies MD Rami Mukhtar will present a session called Big Data, ML and GenAI: 15 Years of What Worked and What Didn’t. And former Google chief decision scientist Cassie Kozyrkov will discuss Blueprints for AI Success: Building Reliable Systems and Driving Innovation.

“Explore how leading experts are applying AI to their data challenges, driving results that were once thought impossible,” the event organisers say. “Deep dive into this theme through hands-on sessions, case studies and discussions, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to apply AI to your data in ways that drive real, measurable impact.”

Other speakers include Actuaries Institute chief data and AI officer Alex Scandurra, actuaries Albert Suryadi and Meg Yang, Macquarie University computational linguistics lecturer Greg Baker, Nearmap VP Michael Bewley, Quantium executive Zilinka Jiang, QBE head of operations analytics Stephen Samild, AI consultant Yanir Seroussi, University of NSW Sydney professor George Shinkle and Star Forge AI director Anthony Tockar.

The event is at the Hilton hotel from 9.45am. Register here.
