Advisr raises capital, launches broker jobs portal
Insurtech Advisr has successfully completed a seed investment round to internationally expand its platform, which is designed to introduce brokers to thousands of new customers.
Advisr says it will reach over 80,000 small business decision-makers in 2021 who are looking to connect with an insurance broker.
The platform is designed to provide SME customers with a one-stop reference site to access in-depth insurance broker profiles, expert cover content, peer reviews and direct connection with a recommended broker.
It promises to “drive new business to insurance brokers, through educating people about insurance and making it easy to navigate the process of finding an insurance broker you can trust”.
Advisr founder and Insurtech Australia Director Andy Jamieson says the platform uses “elegant technology and a growing user base. Advisr is well-positioned to build the largest independent broker platform for the insurance industry.”
The technology is also scalable globally for broader financial services applications.
Local investors backed the insurtech after the successful launch of Advisr Jobs, which presents brokers with networking and job opportunities in the insurance community.
The seed round was led by Spacer Co-Founder and former insurance executive Roland Tam.
