Mr Wilson asks Mr Dransfield about progress on insurer investigations into a government-backed cyclone reinsurance pool, agreed at a meeting with the Assistant Treasurer in November.

It was hoped that such an arrangement could reduce premiums in the north.

Mr Dransfield says investigations are ongoing, and ICA is liaising with the Assistant Treasurer's office, but there is no timeframe for completion.

We know that Suncorp has serious reservations about the pool plan, but Mr Dransfield does not raise this.
