WTW appoints construction expert in Melbourne
Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has appointed Kishan Dasan to the newly created role of Director of Strategic Growth, Construction and Natural Resources Australasia.
Melbourne-based Mr Dasan was most recently Head of Construction Asia Pacific at AIG, where he spent 13 years and worked on large Australian construction and mining projects.
WTW Head of Construction Australasia Iain Drennan says with his experience in underwriting and engineering qualifications, Mr Dasan brings “unparalleled expertise and insights that will uniquely benefit WTW clients across the lifecycle of their projects” and will take risk mitigation strategies “to a new level”.
“Kishan has been at the forefront of some of the region’s largest construction and energy projects,” Mr Drennan said.
The appointment is the first of its kind for WTW Australia, says Head of Natural Resources for Australasia Matt Frost, and is effectively a “joint venture” between the construction and natural resources teams.
Mr Dasan’s unique skillset and experience would benefit WTW clients across a growing part of the business and help identify further strategic opportunities.
“This is a new role created to meet a key need within the construction and natural resources sectors,” Mr Frost said. “Kishan will work across both of WTW’s teams to provide a seamless service to clients throughout the life of their projects.”
“Kishan had a large energy and power portfolio within his remit at AIG. His knowledge of those clients and their pinch points, will enable us to better tailor our solutions to meet those particular needs."
