Reinsurance broker Willis Re today announced a reshuffle at the top of its Australian business.

Former Willis Re Australia CEO Cameron Green has been appointed head of the international casualty reinsurance practice, as well as Chairman of the Australian business.

Former deputy CEO John Philipsz takes over as Australia CEO. The appointments took effect on January 1, and Mr Green and Mr Philipsz remain Sydney-based.

Asia Pacific MD Mark Morley says the appointments “will enhance the services and capabilities we provide to our clients throughout the region”.

He says Mr Green, who had held the CEO role since 2013, “will continue to support Willis Re’s strategic development in Australia and New Zealand, playing a key advocacy role for a number of clients throughout these markets”.

Mr Philpsz joined the Australia team in 2018 from Willis Towers Watson Securities.
