Tower CFO resigns, executive search underway

Tower CFO Jeff Wright has resigned from the role and will depart at the end of the year to return home to Australia.

The New Zealand insurer is undertaking a comprehensive executive search process for Mr Wright’s replacement and says it will provide a further market update in due course.

Auckland-based Mr Wright has held the CFO role since September 2017 and also formerly acted as interim GM finance.

CEO Blair Turnbull thanked him for his commitment and dedication, saying his depth of specialised knowledge and significant insurance industry experience would be greatly missed.

“I would like to personally thank Jeff for his support since I commenced in my role almost 12 months ago,” Mr Turnbull said. “I have enjoyed his energy and positive contributions as an executive team member.”

Tower Chair Michael Stiassny said Mr Wright was instrumental in Tower’s significant progress in shedding legacy issues and becoming a leading-technology general insurer.

“The board wishes to record its thanks and recognition to Jeff for his impactful tenure as CFO,” Mr Stiassny said.
