Steadfast Convention to return after COVID hiatus
The Steadfast Convention will return in Adelaide next March after the annual event was cancelled for the previous two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme for the convention is “Our time is now”, reflecting the heightened focus on the industry and the importance of meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers and the broader community.
Steadfast’s event is the largest general insurance industry convention in Australia and New Zealand and typically attracts around 2000 attendees.
Next year it will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from March 20-22.
“We will be exploring emerging trends in insurance, and hearing from incredible thought leaders from all walks of life,” Steadfast says on its website. “The Steadfast Convention brings together the leaders of our industry and beyond. It is always a memorable event full of opportunities.”
The company says it is monitoring the COVID situation in terms of protocols and will follow advice and guidelines provided by the Australian Health Department, SA Health and the World Health Organisation.
“To provide confidence and ensure a safe environment for all delegates, sponsors and staff, the Adelaide Convention Centre has developed a comprehensive COVID management plan, which has been approved by the SA Government,” the website says.
The convention had been scheduled for Adelaide last March, before the pandemic continued to disrupt plans for in-person gatherings. In 2020 it was set for Perth, but was called off amid a slew of industry event cancellations in the early months of the pandemic in Australia.
The 21st annual convention was held on the Gold Coast in 2019.
