Steadfast adds cyber to Mansions offering

Steadfast-owned Mansions of Australia will add personal cyber protection to its Executive Insurance product from October 5, the business announced today.

Called Family CyberSecure, it is part of a partnership that Mansions has forged with Cyberscout, an insurance-focused digital security solutions provider owned by identity security specialist Sontiq.

Mansions says the new offering will provide clients with comprehensive cyber cover for families and individuals who have been exposed to a range of related risks such as online bullying and identity fraud.

“The acceleration and modernisation of technology allows us to do some pretty amazing things,” Steadfast Underwriting Agencies Chief Underwriting Officer of Personal Lines David McMurdo said.

“However, the luxuries and convenience technology offer can sometimes come at a cost, namely the risks to people’s data, information and privacy.

“In response to this, we’re pleased to have partnered with Sontiq to help successful families and individuals that purchase the Mansions Executive Insurance product to better defend themselves and avoid becoming an easy target from cyber fraud in the first place.”

Mr McMurdo says CyberScout will provide 24/7 access to digital fraud experts who can provide proactive advice and incident remediation in response to incidents.

“Furthermore, clients will be able to access a wide range of tools such as data backup software plus an online knowledge portal to be more informed around cyber safety,” he said.

A frequently-asked-questions information sheet available on the Mansions website says Family CyberSecure is a new cover section that will be automatically included within the Mansions Executive Insurance product for all policies with an inception date from October 5.

For existing policyholders, the cover will be added on by default when their renewals come after October 5.
