NIBA reveals WA broker award winners
EBM Insurance & Risk regional director Chelsey Harris has been named this year’s WA broker of the year and Knightcorp Insurance Brokers commercial manager Nikita Willis is the state's young broker award winner.
The winners were announced at a National Insurance Brokers Association gala lunch attended by more than 500 professionals at Crown Perth today, and are now in the running for NIBA’s national awards, to be handed out in October.
They will compete against NSW winners Matthew Bates and Emily-Rose Srbinovska, plus six other yet-to-be named state finalists.
“NIBA congratulates Nikita and Chelsey for their fantastic achievement, wishing them the very best of luck for the national awards in October,” CEO Richard Klipin said.
“I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of all the finalists – theyʼve gone above and beyond for their clients and the impact theyʼve made in giving back to the community.”
Dustin Bartley from broker award sponsor CGU says Ms Harris has shown a commitment to helping “elevate the standards of the insurance broking profession”.
Shane Butcher from young broker prize sponsor Vero says Ms Willis’ involvement in community activities and advocacy for small businesses “make her a deserving winner”.
“Nikita stood out in this yearʼs competitive field, showcasing remarkable commitment to her clients, colleagues and the broking profession.”
NIBA will announce winners from Queensland next Wednesday, Victoria/Tasmania next Friday and SA/NT on July 26.
