NIBA names Young Broker of the Year regional winners

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced the five regional Young Broker of the Year award winners at a virtual ceremony today.

The winners were: David Harry, Aon (NSW/ACT); Kate Martin, Marsh (Queensland); Kelly Qualmann, Gallagher (SA/NT); Patrick Selle, Arcuri & Associates (Vic/Tas) and Tryan Christos, Interlink Insurance Brokers (WA).

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated the recipients of the award, which recognises the broking industry’s rising stars under the age of 35, saying they were exceptional and set a benchmark for the rest of the profession.

"This award recognises and celebrates their hard work,” Mr Booth said today.

NIBA earlier this year decided to continue the annual awards program in a different format despite the disruptions and challenges caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The five regional winners will compete for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year, sponsored by Vero, to be presented during the October 26-30 virtual convention.

Winners and finalists were acknowledged for their client advocacy, high standards, leadership, mentoring of peers and volunteer work at charities, as well as commitment to professional development and the wellbeing of their teams.
