McLardy McShane takes ‘exciting step’ into Queensland
National broker McLardy McShane has opened its first Queensland joint venture after acquiring former authorised representative Dixon Insurance Services last month.
Dixon has offices in Toowoomba and Nambour offering risk management advice and covers such as industrial special risk, professional indemnity and corporate travel.
McLardy McShane says the Dixon portfolio will provide the foundation for its new Brisbane operation.
“While our AR network has continued to grow throughout Queensland in recent years, this expansion for our joint venture network into Queensland is a really exciting step for the company,” chief of growth Nick McLardy said.
Dixon will continue trading under its own name and director Ken Dixon will work with Queensland branch manager Taylor Burstow to manage the Brisbane operation.
“With Ken continuing to work in the business and Taylor being an outstanding young leader, we are confident on this new journey for McLardy McShane,” Mr McLardy said. “Both have deep knowledge of the Queensland market, so we feel we’re in very good hands.”
Mr Dixon said: “We’re thrilled to see Dixon Insurance Services progress into this next phase. Having worked with them for the past few years as a corporate authorised representative, we are excited to be partnering with McLardy McShane and continuing to bolster the Queensland operation.”
