Marsh has appointed Johannes Veldsman as corporate and commercial leader for the Pacific region.

Mr Veldsman will also continue in his role as Pacific head of growth and digital until a replacement is found. Marsh says his extensive industry experience and strategic vision have been instrumental in driving growth and innovation at the broker.

“[His] appointment is a testament to his dedication and the impact he has made during his time at Marsh,” Pacific president Josh Roach said.

“He is a respected leader, admired by colleagues and clients alike, and possesses strong relationships throughout the market. I am excited to work more closely with him in this new capacity.”

Marsh’s previous head of corporate and commercial for the Pacific, John Mutton, joined Community Broker Network this month as EGM of strategic partners. Former Honan CEO Andrew Fluitsma had taken over from Mr Mutton, but he left Marsh in July.

Mr Veldsman joined Marsh in 2019 as national manager of growth, digital and innovation, and in 2021 took the Pacific growth and digital role, according to his LinkedIn.

Before joining Marsh he was JLT Australia’s national GM of specialty (product development and innovation).
