Liberty rebrands commercial insurance arm
Liberty International Underwriters in Australia will trade as Liberty Specialty Markets from Friday as the business unifies its commercial insurance operations under one brand.
Part of Boston-based Liberty Mutual Group, the firm's rebranding involves also its entities in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Liberty Specialty Markets is the group’s international commercial insurance brand based in London. The group’s operations in Bermuda and Latin America recently moved to the new name.
“Our global regions already work closely together,” President Asia Pacific Mike Abdallah said.
“Coming together as one global brand now makes the breadth of our international business clearer and means we’re working with clients as one brand across all major markets.
“Many of our product lines are already global offerings… We often support clients with more complex multinational operations, so this brand alignment makes us more unified and easier to do business with.”
The rebranding comes as Liberty celebrates two decades of doing business in the region.
“Consistency is key for us, and the foundations we’ve put in place stay the same. While you’ll see our brand evolve, you can expect to see full continuity in who we are and what we stand for,” Mr Abdallah said
The name change will not impact the operation of the Liberty Global Transaction Solutions brand.
