Insurtech Australia chief to lead expert seminar panel

Simone Dossetor, the CEO of Insurtech Australia, will chair a panel titled Are We Ready for Insurance 3.0? at an Insurance News seminar in Sydney on August 6.

The Moving Forward Faster technology seminar will explore how to stay up to speed and seize opportunities in insurtech.

The full-day event follows the sold-out Insurance News strata seminar in May, and will be held at Dockside Cockle Bay Wharf at Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

Discounted early bird pricing is available until the end of next week. Click here for more information and tickets.

Ms Dossetor, formerly local COO at Munich Re, will open the seminar by leading a discussion featuring Sync Technologies CEO Carolina Dreifuss, NTI CEO Tony Clark, 360 Underwriting Solutions director Denis Morrissey, and Marsh Pacific head of growth and digital Johannes Veldsman.

They will examine how the insurance industry is nearing a leap forward, the current tech environment and the opportunities and challenges nascent technologies have in store.

The panellists will also discuss the various tech applications already shaping insurance, with examples across underwriting, distribution, claims and more.

Other sessions at the event include: The Broker Challenge; Envisioning the Future; Racing Against Regtech; and Does Technology Back Up Its Claims? There will also be an insurtech pitch competition and a debate on Promise v Reality: Can Technology Really Change a People-Based Industry?

Seminar attendees qualify for 5.5 NIBA CPD points and six ANZIIF CIP points.
