Insurance Brands Australia names new CEO

Insurance Brands Australia, which was acquired by Steadfast a year ago, has named Scott Leis as CEO.

Mr Leis has been GM at Insurance Brands Australia subsidiary Insurance House since 2019, and has led an expansion across regional and metropolitan areas.

Insurance Brands Australia, which rebranded in June last year, also includes the Insurance House Advance authorised representative network, and digital business insurance.com.au.

“With the strategic shift of the business moving to a broker-centric approach, Scott Leis emerges as the natural successor to assume the CEO position,” Steadfast CEO and MD Robert Kelly said.

“I look forward to witnessing the success that lies ahead for both Scott and Insurance Brands Australia.”

When Insurance Brands Australia was acquired by Steadfast it included underwriting agencies ProRisk and Armada, and Insurance House Life. These brands are no longer under the Insurance Brands Australia umbrella, but were transferred into Steadfast Underwriting Agencies and Steadfast Life.

State Manager Victoria Rob Currenti will take on Mr Leis’ previous role as GM Insurance House, while Danielle Ritchie becomes COO, and Ben Brookman Chief People Officer. Former MD Jay Fereday remains with the business in a consulting capacity.

“The opportunity to unite our businesses in delivering the best client solutions and providing opportunities for our people to develop personally and professionally is what drives me and will guide how we position ourselves in the marketplace,” Mr Leis said.

“We will excel at being a destination of choice for clients, people and business.”
