INsight podcast: merger meltdowns and lingering lockdowns

This latest Insurance News podcast discusses the collapse of the Aon/Willis Towers Watson merger, which would have created the largest insurance brokerage in the world.

As insuranceNEWS.com.au reported in a Breaking News alert yesterday, the mega-merger has been called off due to resistance from regulators, particularly the US Department of Justice.

The podcast considers the reasons behind the development, as well as the implications of the split.

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News Managing Director Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Insurance News Publisher Terry McMullan, Managing Editor John Deex, and Deputy Editor Wendy Pugh.

The panel also talks about the impact of the latest lockdowns on the insurance industry and its staff, IAG's challenging results, and the latest high-level industry appointments.

You can find a new episode of INsight published here each week.
