The Federal Government's parliamentary inquiry into insurers' response to last year's floods is the focus of the latest episode of the Insurance News podcast.

As insuranceNEWS.com.au reported in an Analysis article on Monday, the inquiry has been welcomed by the Insurance Council but leaves many unanswered questions at this stage.

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Managing Editor John Deex and Senior Journalists Bernice Han and Miranda Maxwell.

Also discussed was the UK's flood reinsurance pool, ASIC's crackdown on design and distribution breaches, and concerns about insurers incorrectly applying wear and tear exclusions.
