INsight podcast: code breaches, catastrophes and covid

Rising self-reported breaches of the General Insurance Code of Practice are the main topic of discussion on the latest episode of the Insurance News podcast.

As reported by insuranceNEWS.com.au, the Code Governance Committee says it wants to see breaches drop in the coming years, having hit a five-year high of more than 41,000.

Claims dominate the breach reports, but the panel discusses reasons why this might be the case.

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News Managing Director Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Insurance News Publisher Terry McMullan, Managing Editor John Deex and Deputy Editor Wendy Pugh.

The podcast also talks Budget and the upcoming federal election, plus the latest on the floods catastrophe and the covid wave which is hitting our industry.
