INsight podcast: broken pricing promises, and broker acquisitions

A substantial rise in significant breaches of the insurers' code of practice is the main discussion point on the latest episode of the Insurance News podcast.

As insuranceNEWS.com.au has reported, the code governance committee is particularly concerned about insurers breaking pricing promises, something it says has been going on "for years".

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Chairman Terry McMullan, Managing Editor John Deex, Deputy Editor Wendy Pugh, and Senior Journalist Bernice Han.

Also discussed on the podcast are the bushfire risk outlook, a spate of broker acquisitions, and the UK regulator's warning on insurers short-changing motor customers at claims time.
