INsight podcast: accidentally axing commissions

An embarrassing error by the Federal Government that could have accidentally axed some broker commissions is the main topic of discussion on the latest Insurance News podcast.

As previously reported, the bill was introduced in Parliament last month to legislate disclosure and consent requirements for general insurance commissions, but a legal expert contacted insuranceNEWS.com.au to point out a significant drafting error.

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Chairman Terry McMullan, Managing Editor John Deex, Deputy Editor Wendy Pugh and Senior Journalist Bernice Han.

The panel also discusses the latest NSW flooding, a worrying US hurricane forecast, AFCA's concern over rising complaints, and NTI's latest truck raffle.
