ICA prepares for NSW flood forums

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has changed the date for one of next week’s in-person meetings with NSW flood-hit communities due to the National Day of Mourning for Queen Elizabeth II.

ICA and insurers will hold meetings with customers affected by the flood catastrophe which hit NSW and Queensland in February and March, leading to insured losses of $5.28 billion.

The NSW meetings will be from noon to 8pm on:

- Monday September 19 at Ex-Services Club, Mullumbimby

- Tuesday September 20 at RSM Club, Casino

- Wednesday September 21 at Ballina RSL Club, Ballina

- Tuesday September 27 at Lismore Workers Club, Lismore

The Lismore event was previously planned for Thursday September 22, but this is now a public holiday to mourn the late Queen Elizabeth II.

“The ICA and insurers encourage policyholders impacted by the flood and severe weather earlier this year to take the opportunity to make a booking and meet in-person with their insurer to discuss the specific details of their claims and receive updates on the claims process,” ICA CEO Andrew Hall said.
