The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has unveiled more details about its virtual Annual Industry Forum taking place next month.

ICA says the October 13 event, Insurance in Uncertain Times, will hear updates from Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Deputy Chairman Helen Rowell and Australian Securities and Investments Commission Deputy Chairman and Commissioner Karen Chester.

The forum will also feature insights from domestic and international specialists from insurers, regulators, government and agencies on topics including commercial lines, cyber risk, natural perils and insurance catastrophes.

Climate, modern slavery and environmental, social and governance, or ESG, will be discussed too during the one-day forum.

ICA says there will be keynote addresses from as yet unidentified special guests.

The annual forum was last held in February 2019 as last year’s event was cancelled because of the pandemic.
