IAG raids CBA for people head

IAG today announced Christine Stasi as its incoming Group Executive of People, Performance and Reputation.

She starts in late October, taking over from Jacki Johnson who retired last month after 18 years with the insurer, including as CEO of its New Zealand operations from 2010 to 2016.

Ms Stasi will join IAG from Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) where she is EGM for Business & Private Banking and Institutional Banking & Markets.

She will report to CEO Peter Harmer when she starts at the insurer.

“Given her significant experience across a range of industries, [she] will play a key role in helping to drive our company performance and bring to life our purpose – to make your world a safer place,” Mr Harmer said.

Before CBA, Ms Stasi was GM People and Culture at NAB for just over three years until August 2015, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She has also held senior executive-level roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Virgin Mobile.
