Hollard Commercial Insurance appoints new CEO
Hollard has promoted Jack Joubert to the role of CEO of the commercial arm of its insurance business.
Sydney-based Mr Joubert has been acting head of Hollard Commercial Insurance (HCi) since the departure of Richard Heilig, who left to become Chief Commercial Officer at insurtech-focused investor Envest in June.
Formerly CFO at the business, Mr Joubert has also held a number of other leadership roles within the Hollard Group, including Head of Capital and senior positions in Namibia and Zambia.
Hollard Founder and CEO Richard Enthoven says it is an “exciting and challenging time” for HCi and Mr Joubert brought “a fresh approach to the business, along with a great passion for the industry”.
“I look forward to working with him to grow and build the commercial arm of our business into a market leader in small business insurance,” Mr Enthoven, who has previously revealed Hollard prefers to prioritise internal promotions, said.
Mr Joubert, who is a qualified actuary and formerly spent three years as an analyst at PwC in Cape Town, says the commercial business has seen rapid growth to become a leading SME insurer. He aims to continue that growth and focus on core products as well as low touch electronic platforms.
