GT Insurance names new CEO
Allianz subsidiary GT Insurance has announced Deputy CEO Tony Dodd will take on the CEO role in January after MD Glenn Lambert retires at the end of the year.
Mr Dodd was appointed to his current position last month, having served the last four years as GM Sales and Distribution. He joined the business in January 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“GT Insurance has moved from strength to strength in order to become the second largest insurer in the heavy motor transport sector across Australia,” Mr Dodd said.
“This result comes from the commitment and energy of our people, and I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a strong team.”
The incoming CEO has the backing of Allianz. “[He] is a strong leader who brings to the role a wealth of experience and industry knowledge,” Allianz Australia MD Richard Feledy said.
“I’m confident he is well equipped to navigate the unique challenges that lie ahead in order to create new opportunities for the business, and I am looking forward to this exciting new chapter in the growth of GT Insurance under [his] leadership.”
Allianz in 2006 became a major shareholder, expanding its role as the insurer of GT products.
GT offers a range of heavy motor and transport covers including commercial, motor fleet, carriers transit and public liability.
