Gow-Gates appoints Howard Kaye to lead key division

Brokerage Gow-Gates has appointed Howard Kaye, who previously held senior roles at Aon, to lead its renamed corporate and risk management division.

Mr Kaye has nearly 40 years’ experience in areas including strategic risk advisory, client management, and mergers and acquisitions, Gow-Gates says. He has managed complex risk programs for national, multi-national, and public listed clients and has expertise in captives and self-insurance vehicles.

Previously, Mr Kaye worked with Aon for around 27 years, his LinkedIn page shows, most recently holding the role of client relationship manager – global and corporate, based in Sydney.

The appointment builds on the Gow-Gates corporate division’s expansion and follows the recruitment of Melbourne-based Rebecca Tait in December 2023. Ms Tait will continue to manage the national teams and portfolios under Mr Kaye’s leadership.

In other changes, Chris Keeping will move to a strategic placements and client development role within the division, further strengthening capabilities.

Gow-Gates, which marked its 60th anniversary two years ago, says it combines a strong local presence with the capability to manage national and international placements. The business has offices in Queensland, NSW, ACT and Victoria and more than 100 brokers.
